Our Focus on Strategy Course Design

Terrain: The terrain of the course should be varied and challenging, with elevation changes, natural obstacles like trees, and water hazards (if available). The course should make use of the natural landscape as much as possible, with holes that require a variety of shots and techniques.

Safety: Safety is a top priority when designing a disc golf course. The course should be designed with the safety of players and bystanders in mind, with holes that are situated away from busy roads, pedestrian areas, and other hazards. Course designers should also consider the possibility of errant shots, and take steps to protect players and bystanders from flying discs.

Playability: The course should be designed to be fun and enjoyable for players of all skill levels, from beginners to experts. This means that the course should have a variety of hole lengths, with some shorter holes for beginners and longer, more challenging holes for experienced players. The course should also be designed to flow smoothly, with logical hole layouts and clear signage.
